IRS Offering Free Tax Preparation For Households That Make Less Than $56k Per Year

The IRS is offering free tax preparation and filing for households making less than $56,000 per year. The IRS option is no frills (like anyone expect the IRS to be anything but ‘no frills’), but it will do the job. Essentially, it is a stripped down Turbo Tax -ish product. It is a great option if you have a basic return. Plus, if you e-file your taxes, you will receive your return much quicker than those who file their return the old fashion way.

Leave it to our federal government to only help people that do not pay taxes.
