1 Cent = No Sense

We’ve previously discussed “7 Good Uses For A Penny“. None of which include currency. But now the US Mint has redesigned the penny in an attempt to save the penny from its impending doom.

“the U.S. Mint has introduced a new penny, which may be showing up in your pocket change any day now.”

The front of the penny will remain the same, however the new back side can be seen to the right.

What do you think of the new penny? Does this excuse its existence? How about the fact that it costs more to produce than its end value?
